It appears that Ryan Reynolds will be reprising his "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" role in an upcoming "Deadpool" film.  Like "Wolverine", this will be an origins story featuring Deadpool's smart mouth antics and incredible fighting skills. 

The film was first conceived back in the early development of the "Wolverine" film, and Ryan Reynolds was cast as the part so that he could move on to the starring role in "Deadpool".

The film currently does not have a script yet, but it has been sent out to writers. Marvel Studios and Lauren Shuler Donner will be producing.
