According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Kidman signed on to star and produce the Simon Kinberg film, "The Eighth Wonder".

The film will be about an archaeological discovery made that produces a globe-spanning race. 

The filmmakers are looking to re-capture the spirit of past archaeological films such as Indians Jones and The Raiders of "The Lost Ark."

The script will be written this fall by Kinberg.
